Ladies And Gentlemen, PLEASE Enjoy The Ride!

“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].”

Fear IS NOT the focus

-Lee Jailor

Wednesday night’s walk and talk discussion was on fear. False Evidence Appearing Real. Pastor Lee’s message especially resonated with me for several reasons. But one of the main reasons is something he said Wednesday night; and that was: “your past is screaming VERY loud.” From that one line (with God’s revelation), I was able to deduce a number of things.

First of all, God whispers and oftentimes utilizes His still, small voice (I Kings 19:12 KJV). So I surmise that if I’m paying more attention to the screaming rather than the still, small voice, I’m simply listening to the WRONG voice. Secondly, you must get really close and be intentional about hearing someone whisper. Concerning your destiny, God is definitely speaking, but He purposely doesn’t shout because I feel He doesn’t want to alert everyone of His plans for us.

True enough, the Bible is one of (if not the top) bestselling books available, but I believe it is interpretation through revelation that makes the difference in this very popular book. I Corinthians 1:27 comes to mind in this instance:

“Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.”

On #Teamwalkandtalk, the bible has been referred to as the playbook and basic instructions before leaving earth. Whatever your preference, the above verse makes either of the two references mean the very same thing…
